What do I need?

  • Whether you go to a gym, have a home gym setup, or you have no workout equipment at all - I'll customize a plans that works for you!

  • It's a good idea to have some basic "equipment" such as a comfortable mat (Yoga mats work) and resistance bands (which are quite affordable).  Small dumbbells are a great addition as well but you don't have to have any equipment to get started.

Do I need to have some exercise experience?

  • No!  Everyone has a starting point... my job is to create one for you that is comfortable and effective.

What technology do I need?

  • A good WiFi connection is rather important for live sessions.

  • To access the app, you will need a smartphone (the app is not available for desktop)

At Sharpe Fitness, online personal training is a comprehensive coaching service. You get Stephanie as your dedicated coach, who creates a personalized plan based on your assessment, provides ongoing form checks to prevent injury, and adjusts your program weekly. Most importantly, we provide unlimited accountability and support via in-app messaging and weekly check-ins. What does "habit-based coaching" actually mean, and how is it different?
Most training focuses only on your 30-minute workout. We believe that's only 20% of the puzzle. Habit-based coaching is the core of the Sharpe Fitness method. It means Stephanie focuses on the daily behaviors outside the gym that drive 80% of your results. She will work with you to build sustainable habits around nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management. Instead of a drastic, unsustainable overhaul, we focus on small, manageable changes that compound over time to create a lifelong healthy lifestyle. It’s not a quick fix; it’s a permanent solution built on a solid foundation.

 


I'm a complete beginner with no equipment. Can I still get results?
Absolutely. In fact, beginners see some of the most dramatic and motivating results! You do not need a home gym or any fancy equipment to start. Your personalized workout plan from Sharpe Fitness will be designed specifically for the equipment you have available—even if that's just your own bodyweight. Stephanie specializes in creating highly effective, safe workouts for beginners that require minimal to no gear. She will ensure you learn the proper form from day one, building a strong foundation and confidence.

What does the app look like, and how do I communicate with my trainer?
We use a simple, user-friendly coaching platform that consolidates everything you need. You'll have a custom app on your phone where you can:

*View your daily workouts with video demonstrations.

*Log your completed sets and habits.

*Message Stephanie directly and instantly with unlimited support.

* Send video of your exercises for form checks.


Communication is the core of our service. You can message Stephanie anytime—to ask a question, share a win, or if you're struggling. This real-time support is what keeps you on track and makes all the difference.
 

 

How often will my training plan be updated?
Your plan is a living, breathing document that evolves with you. Unlike static 12-week PDFs, your Sharpe Fitness plan is updated consistently. The primary mechanism for this is your weekly check-in with Stephanie. You and she will review your progress every week, discuss what’s working, and adjust your workouts, nutrition, and habits for the upcoming week. This ensures you are always progressing, never hitting a plateau, and that your program remains perfectly aligned with your changing life and goals.

 


How does the accountability actually work? I'm worried I'll lose motivation.
This is our specialty at Sharpe Fitness. We have a multi-layered accountability system:

Stephanie, Your Dedicated Coach: She is your primary accountability partner. She reviews your completed workouts and habit tracking, and she'll personally check in if she notices you've gone quiet.

Weekly (or Daily) Check-ins: This formal touchpoint ensures you and Stephanie are always aligned and allows for course correction before motivation dips.


What is your approach to nutrition? Do I get a strict meal plan?
At Sharpe Fitness and Nutrition, we believe in empowerment, not restriction. Stephanie does not provide rigid, generic meal plans that are impossible to maintain. Instead, you will receive personalized nutrition coaching based on your preferences, lifestyle, and goals. We focus on teaching you foundational principles—like portion control, macronutrient balance, and building balanced plates—so you can make informed choices yourself. This habit-based approach to nutrition ensures you can enjoy social events, travel, and life while still making progress.

 


I have a specific injury/health condition (e.g., bad knee, thyroid issue). Can you still help me?
Yes. This is exactly why the initial in-depth consultation and assessment are so critical. Stephanie is experienced in working with clients with various limitations and health considerations. By understanding your specific situation, she can design a safe and effective personalized program that works around any injuries or conditions, helping you get stronger without causing pain.
